T10 were very excited to learn that their poem 'Our Oceans' was placed second in the Seaweek Poetry Competition! The Year 0-4 poems, which had to be written collectively and in acrostic format, were judged by Heather McQuillian from the School for Young Writers.
The prize-giving was held at Turanga on Wednesday evening. Cassiel and Maija represented T10 to share the poem and accept the prize.
Here is T10's poem:
OUR OCEANS
Octopus
Up in the ocean
Rubbish in the ocean
On and off the waves
Crab
End of the ocean
Antarctica is cold
Noise in the water
Seaweed floating
Mahi pai - T10 you are poets!
